Plex client for iOS

Plex on iPhone, made for the road

RoadSonic turns your Plex library into a music player that keeps playing in the car. Connect in a minute, let the iPhone index everything, and drive with a verified reserve of complete tracks.

Plex Media Server hosts your music alongside films and series. RoadSonic signs in through the official plex.tv PIN flow, discovers your servers and tries local, remote and Relay routes in that order — with no Plex Pass required for RoadSonic's own features.

Plex support is built on the official API and covered by protocol contract tests; a validation campaign on real Plex servers is still in progress. If something looks off with your server version, write to us: we add a test and tell you when it is fixed.

Connect Plex to RoadSonic

  1. Add a source

Open Settings › Sources › Add a source and choose Plex.

  2. Connect your Plex account

Tap “Connect my Plex account”. Sign-in happens on plex.tv with a PIN; RoadSonic never sees your Plex password.

  3. Pick your server

Your servers are discovered automatically. Local, remote and Relay routes are tried in that order.

  4. Let it sync

The music libraries of the server are indexed on the iPhone. The 7-day trial starts now, and the “Ready for the road” badge appears once the reserve is complete.
