Ampache client for iOS

Ampache on iPhone, made for the road

RoadSonic turns your Ampache library into a music player that keeps playing in the car. Connect in a minute, let the iPhone index everything, and drive with a verified reserve of complete tracks.

Ampache is one of the oldest self-hosted music servers, with a rich web catalog and a Subsonic-compatible API. Enable the Subsonic backend in Ampache and RoadSonic connects like to any OpenSubsonic server.

Connect Ampache to RoadSonic

  1. Add a source

Open Settings › Sources › Add a source and choose OpenSubsonic / Subsonic.

  2. Enter the address

Type the full server address including the scheme, for example https://music.example.com. Do not put the username or password inside the address.

  3. Sign in

Enter your username and password. RoadSonic uses the Subsonic salted-token scheme, so your password is never transmitted.

  4. Let it sync

The first sync indexes artists, albums and tracks on the iPhone. The 7-day trial starts now, and the “Ready for the road” badge appears once the reserve is complete.
